Jason and Lisa – A Sweet Affair in Sausalito California
We love it when a couple comes to us and wants to make their wedding a complete representation of who they are as individuals and together. That was Jason and Lisa. Their wedding ceremony and reception at Cavallo Point Lodge nestled in the shadow of the Golden Gate Bridge was filled with many personal elements from their lives.
For instance, since both of them work with their hands – she’s an art teacher and he’s an electrician – they both have their own design aesthetic. While both chose the color palette – a Golden Gate Bridge orange, and as if to symbolize the fog that rolls in, white accent flowers nestled into the arrangements – there were several individual additions to the wedding design.
Sequin table runners added a volt of excitement while copper signage was a nod to his skill with wiring. In addition, the seating chart was designed to look like an electrical blueprint.
On the table, guests found jars of honey from the hives in their backyard. And in addition to a spectacular ombre orange cake by Zest Bakery, the bride’s mother filled the dessert table with treats from the couple’s time at the Jersey shore – salt water taffy and root beer barrels. Amid the deserts, rocks with sugar-coated messages had been painted by Lisa’s art students. All of these details went into making this entire wedding one very sweet affair!
