Daniel and Alex : From the Heart Beginning to End

I like to call the pre-wedding preparations – the time when everyone gets dressed -- a ceremony of sorts. Now I know that they aren’t as dramatic as those powerful moments
when a couple reads their vows. But there is something about this time that is equally binding and special. It never fails to touch my heart. Perhaps it is because these are the
small moments that will actually be practiced every day for the rest of their life together.

In the case of Alex and Daniel, who chose to get ready together, all the more poignant.

One final adjustment and then …

All ready! The guys are looking good, and here is where the story that the “world” knows continues.

The wedding ceremony and reception took place at this bucolic home in San Mateo County … close enough to the city for friends and family, and clearly, in terms of design
and landscaping, a world away. This setting was perfect for Alex and Daniel. When we met about what type of wedding they wanted, they really only had two requests -- good
food and good music. The house itself took up the call to action with signs such as this one …

The ceremony was extremely simple … held on three stumps on the property surrounded by trees, sunlight, friends and family.

The décor for the reception was equally no fuss … long tables – no assigned seating – set with candles and casual arrangements of orchids.

Taste Catering provided the good food that Alex and Daniel had asked for.

And Daniel had created a fun table runner from photos of friends and family that was enjoyed all night.

Causal fun … influenced by the start-up tech world, what millennial wedding is complete these days without a rousing game of ping pong?

As night fell, lighting from Enhanced Lighting made the house glow with warmth. As for the good music? All Star Jukebox, a great cover band, heated up the action on the dance floor.

So, my second favorite time of a wedding is now … at the end of the day when you realize that while you started the day as two people and you are now united, not
just to one another but with all your friends and family. I guess I should just realize – I love every part of a wedding, from the very beginning of the day, to the
very end and especially ones so sweet and warm as this one.

Congratulations Alex and Daniel!
