San Francisco Luxury with Nancy and Scott
A second wedding is always so special to us. There are so many unique elements, memories and people to weave into the design. The wedding of Nancy and Scott at the Fairmont was one of these. The venue held nostalgic memories for Scott whose parents used to bring him to the variety shows as a child.
And the people they wove into their wedding were special -- his daughter was his best man and her daughter and son stood up as her bridal party!
Our color scheme for the reception was inspired by an old-school supper club – black, dark navy and gold in a darkened room glowing with candlelight. Gold accents of light strategically shone on architectural elements of the ballroom and the frieze pattern was duplicated on the dance floor to incorporate this large space during dinner into the design.
The tables were a mixture of long, communal King’s tables and round tables with high-backed black leather banquettes. We chose to do all-white floral centerpieces, alternating with hydrangeas, roses and peonies for the long tables and tall lush centerpieces on the exterior round tables of phalaenopsis orchids and hydrangea.
When it comes to luxury in wedding, design, flowers, cuisine and lighting are certainly a huge piece of the memory. Yet, the most important luxury is being able to celebrate who you are with those you love. Congratulations Nancy and Scott!
